"EMBRACING THE FLAG" Waiting for the Bosnian wedding procession to begin, Edis Becirovich sits in his family's dark sedan and counts the hours as hundreds of Bosnians come together for a Summer wedding. Assembling at "Bosnian Square," scores of cars lined up then moved to Wethersfield Ave. to accommodate all of the vehicles that finally joined the procession to Elizabeth Park. The flag is honorably displayed at the head of the hundred car procession, then waved as the couple enters the park. The new Bosnian immigrants have fled war, embraced America and embraced the American flag as a symbol of their new freedoms.
