Najallah Farhat, 23, teaches at a small school for orphans funded by a Kabul doctor. Both her legs were severely damaged by rocket fire during Afghanistan's war with the Soviet Union. Girls are just now returning to school after six years of Taliban rule. There are no textbooks, just xeroxed copies that the children share.
