"LIFE SAVINGS LOST" Minimum-wage earners are forced to live in high crime areas. Sihmiyati Harred, 35, sobs after finding her packed belongings ransacked after leaving her apartment for a few hours. The Indonesian native lost her life savings of $3,000 which she kept under the mattress. The burglary took place just before she was moving out.
