MELTING HAIR - Takeya Brown, 10, gets fake extensions attached to her hair by a friend, Ashley Strickland, 13, at The Paradise Apartments on 22nd St. The "jumbo silky'' bag of hair is imported from Korea and costs 59 cents from the convenience store across from the Paradise. The straight hair is braided into Brown's real hair then burned on the ends to secure the braid.
