"Hyland Horses"
Pack horses stand in a smoke
smudge to avoid mosquitos at Hyland Post on the
Spatsizi River, a tributary of the Stikine River. Once an historic way
station for travelers and settlers in the Stikine River basin, the former
post is now used only as a hunting camp.
