Nancy Ball cans salmon at her
homestead, Glenora Ranch, on the banks of the
Stikine River. Nancy is one of several families that eke out a life along the
river in the Telegraph Creek area. She lives alone on her ranch which is
accessible only by boat or over ice after the river freezes. The ranch was a
former hunting camp famous in the area since the turn of the century.
