Keicia Coleman Hines enlisted in the army in 1995 and was promoted to
sergeant in June 2002. At the age of 27 she was killed as a soldier. Picture

To be missing can mean different things to different
people and yet be equally as painful. To say
goodbye for an undetermined amount of time or forever is a gripping emotion.
Even the welcoming tears of a loved one's return from a lengthy departure
is overwhelming, realizing the constant nightmares have finally come to an
end. Many families and friends come to terms and accept the call to duty of
those that they love and ready themselves for the consequences. Some
acknowledging their son or daughter, wife or husband was serving their
country -- a commitment they felt was of the highest calling.
