Days after the destruction of Hurricane Katrina that ravaged the gulf coast, throughout the region people continue to struggle and try and get their lives back on track. Many still stranded inside the flood zone other begin to clean up after the storm. Evacuations continued today with volunteers arriving with their own watercraft, pulling stranded people, like this boat full from the Airline Highway at I-10 Freeways, in Orleans Parrish near downtown. Chris Roy, volunteer,(on the boat motor, from Lafayette, La.) transports, l to r-George Lovan, Jermaine Pittman, David Andrew and Kurt Landry to dry land down the Airline Freeway.
