Cpl. Eric Hopp of 1st Platoon Fox Co., 2nd Battalion 6th Marines rushes to aid Cpl. Manuel Jimenez seconds after an IED blast hit him while returning along Rt. Marcy from their patrol far into the northern area of their AO from their base near the Chor-Cherey bazaar in western Marjah, Helmand Province, Afghanistan, Sunday, August 1, 2010. The blast cost Cpl. Jimenez his left arm and peppered him with shrapnel. Marines on patrol are constantly vulnerable to easily built and placed IED's. Cpl. Hopp saved the life of Cpl. Jimenez, having a tourniquet in place less than a minute after the blast.
