"Beating Cancer"

Lene Palfelt and her husband Simon are in their car on the way back from one of the chemotherapy treatments. “It wasn’t a possibility to Simon that I could die of this. He said that since we had chosen each other and had three children together he wouldn’t accept that I wasn’t going to be there all the way. That was his way of looking at it. I have of course thought a lot about what I was going to do if the disease couldn’t be cured. I was going to write letters to our girls that they could read when they became older and in that way they would get a greeting from their mom. I also thought about preparing Simon and our friends to him finding a good woman for my family. If I am not going to be here, Simon should find himself a nice woman. Of course Simon’s life has to go on.”
