"Beating Cancer"

Lene Palfelt leaves the University Hospital of Copenhagen. “This “Cancer train” was going to take me along whether I wanted to or not. That is why I decided to get on the railway engine of that train. I went to see an acupuncturist and a physiotherapist to reduce the side effects and to keep my body strong despite of the chemotherapy and radiation treatments. I have also worked out during the whole process. So every morning I put on my makeup, straightened my back and told myself: “I am okay.” Then you also look upon yourself in a different way. During the whole process I have also chosen to be open towards friends, family and acquaintances. That has helped everyone I think.”
