"Everybody Loves Atlantic Salmon-Here's the Catch"

8 of 10

A three inch long Atlantic Salmon parr fish that was caught in a Scotland river was subjected to a unique scientific procedure called bone dying. Using chemicals, they make the flesh clear, and dye the bones red. This allows them to analyze the bone structure of young salmon. Based on this research they were able to prove that the release of Moth Prevention Agents into Scotland's rivers was causing bone deformations in juvenile Atlantic Salmon.
