The family of Abdul Rashid, a senior leader of the pro-Pakistan Hizbul Mujahedin mourns his death after he was killed by India's Border Security force (BSF) in a clash that erupted after security forces raided a rebel hideout in Kashmir's central Budgam district, 30 kilometers from the summer capital of Srinagar in Indian held Kashmir, March 1, 2004. Despite a landmark ceasefire in November along the frontier dividing Kashmir between India and Pakistan, bloodshed has continued in the region. More than 40,000 people have died in Kashmir since the revolt broke out in 1989. Separatists put the toll at between 80,000 and 100,000.
