"Afghan Women's Harsh Reality"  

 

 

Some Afghan women have shed the burqa, but liberation from the Taliban hasn't much eased their lives. Survival has been the most difficult challenge facing women both before and after the U.S. invasion. The women are slowly accruing more rights but must work tirelessly to avoid starving. After the fall, women regained their right to take college entrance exams at Kabul University.
