"FAREWELL NY" Fatu Koroma takes a final look at the NYC skyline with her new sister Rachel Litsey from the Staten Island ferry. They left that night for her move to their home in Whitesville, KY. The World Trade Center was still standing when the group first arrived in America. 'Why are people so mean?' said Bintu Amara when talking about the terrorist attacks. The group of amputees experienced acts of terror first hand during their experience in the brutal civil war in Sierra Leone.
