"Get Seniors Involved"
For 15 years, Flint resident Eddie Moore, 73, (left),
a retired supervisor of Cheverlet Manufacturing, has made the rounds pitching
the Genesee County Senior Winter Games and a tireless advocate to get seniors
involved and active. 'When I retired I saw seniors weren't active enough. So
many just retire and hit the rocking chair. I made it a thing of mine to get
them out of the rocking chair and involved in something. I wish we could get
all the senior centers open. It's a good thing, even if you just sit and
talk.' He didn't get senior Luther Stokes (right) this day at Hasselbring
Senior Center in Flint, but Moore says there's still time.
